Abilene Cultural Affairs Council
A national model for leveraging cultural assets in downtown revitalization, Abilene was among the first Texas cities to understand the important economic role the arts can play in communities, and was one of the first five cultural districts in the state designated by the Texas Commission on the Arts. The ACAC is a division of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.

The Abilene Industrial Foundation (AIF) is the private-sector arm of the Abilene Chamber's community and economic development partnership. AIF leverages private-sector support and resources for its community partners, the City of Abilene, and the Development Corporation of Abilene (DCOA). Its mission is to promote the growth, development, and diversification of Abilene's regional business economy. AIF cultivates the region's economy through business expansion and retention, targeted market-sector growth, and community enhancement.
